A climber has been airlifted to hospital with a suspected spinal injury after falling 65ft during a climb up Snowdonia. Emergency services were made aware of reports of the man tumbling on Craig Yr Ysfa Amphitheatre Buttress at around 12pm on Tueday, suffering severe injuries to his back, pelvis, and leg.
A coastguard helicopter with the Ogwen Valley Mountain Resue Organisation rushed to the scene after the climber made a call to 999.
He proceeded to be airlifted to Ysbyty Gwynedd for treatment. Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation said: "The team were called out at 12pm for a fallen climber with a suspected fractured spine.
