Christmas project between Wishaw school, foodbank and church gets recognition at Holyrood

A special Christmas project involving a Wishaw school, the local foodbank and one of the town’s churches has been hailed in the Scottish Parliament.The Christmas Boxes Appeal from Clyde Valley High, South Wishaw Parish Church and Wishaw Community Foodbank was given a special mention at Holyrood by the town’s MSP Clare Adamson.Local company McLanachan Transport has also played its part by contributing a sizeable donation to the cause.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

As we have been every year, we are blown away by the generosity of our local community, with a special mention to our parent council who have helped us to coordinate another successful appeal.“The difference this support makes is immeasurable and will help to give our families a Christmas to remember, especially in these difficult times.”Damian McLanachan, from the company, added:
