Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland has had to seek medical advice after suffering an injury during training. The 47 year old comedian, who is blind, is set to perform an emotional waltz with his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell to the Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone on Saturday 19 October.

However, Chris revealed he's been seen by the Strictly physio team ahead of the live show due to a sprained wrist. In a column for The Telegraph, Chris detailed his intense training week with Aussie dancer Dianne and confessed that despite scoring 30 points for their salsa last week, he was battling a "horrible stinking cold".

Chris joked that he updated Dianne on his condition "several times an hour," leading the 35 year old to scold him for "moaning." "I would simply say that I was keeping her up-to-date with what my body was telling me – and my body was moaning," Chris cheekily responded.

He admitted to feeling "particularly bunged up on Friday and Saturday," even performing on the live show while "struggling to breathe through my nose." He humorously added that he would have "suffocated" if he'd had to keep his mouth closed during the dance.
