Cho Gue-sung could be set for a move to Glasgow in the summer transfer window - albeit to the blue half of the city, with Rangers being touted for a move by Jeonbuk sporting director Park Ji-sung.Cho was heavily linked with a move to Celtic in the recent January window once it became apparent that want-away Greek goalscorer Giorgos Giakoumakis wanted out from Parkhead after contract talks crumbled.

A move for Cho failed to materialise, who had scored twice for South Korea at the World Cup, and his fellow countryman Oh Hyeon-gyu was signed instead as Giakoumakis departed for MLS side Atlanta United.Cho stated he would revaluate his situation at Jeonbuk in the summer as he looked to hit his top fitness levels.

However, sporting director Ji-Sung Park - who was famed for his outstanding career with Manchester United - has opened the door for a move to Rangers, stating that there was interest from the Light Blues back in January.

Park told Football Scotland: “Celtic participate in European competition which is a great experience for the player and Cho would get an opportunity to express himself by playing in the Scottish league.“It would be perfect for him to improve in the future and he could stay at Celtic or Rangers which would be totally fine, or he could move on to a bigger league.“Celtic or Rangers would be great for him to be his next step in his career.
