Charlotte Church sets up off-grid commune offering food and housing in exchange for work

Charlotte Church has announced her plans to set up an off-grid community in mid Wales in the grounds of Laura Ashley's former mansion, and she's looking for participants.The Welsh singer, 35, has shared the new venture on her social media feeds, encouraging those over 18 to apply to join the 'team'.

Charlotte's new group will stay in a hostel-style accommodation on the 47-acre grounds of designer Laura Ashley's former mansion, Rhydoldog House, set near the rolling hills of the Cambrian valley in mid Wales.

In exchange for a membership – which includes activities, food and hostel-style accommodation – members will be expected to complete 30 hours of labour per week.
