CHANGING Rooms fans were left gobsmacked by tonight's shocking makeover after ignoring a couples ONLY request. In Cardiff, Teresa and Andrew were desperate to turn their uninspiring front room into a snug space, while three doors down, Maria and Nick wanted a multifunctional family space of their dreams.

Designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen set about working his magic to turn the living room into an elegant and luxurious space. After switching house keys, the couples discussed their briefs with the designers.

Maria and Nick explained that pals Teresa and Andrew are not fans of "modern contemporary" décor. However, Laurence hilariously ignored the request and replied: "It's interesting that you say no modern, because I'm going modern.
