President Biden Tells Americans to Leave Ukraine Because 'Things Could Go Crazy'

We’re dealing with one of the largest armies in the world,” he continued, referring to the potential Russian invasion of Ukraine. “It’s a very different situation, and things could go crazy quickly.” The State Department has also warned against traveling to Ukraine “due to the increased threats of Russian military action,” telling U.S.
citizens who remain to “depart now via commercial or private means.” More than 100,000 Russian troops have gathered along the country’s border with Ukraine. Biden also said he would not troops to rescue U.S.
citizens who find themselves in the middle of escalating tensions. “How do you even do that? How do you even find them?” he said. “I’m hoping that if he’s foolish enough to go in, then he’s smart enough not to in fact do anything that would negatively impact American citizens,” he added of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
