Cary Elwes and Christopher Lloyd have joined the Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff show Knuckles. Stockard Channing, Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel have also joined the series as well, according to Variety.
They will star alongside Idris Elba (Knuckles) and Adam Pally, who reprises his role as Wade Whipple. Cary Elwes is best known for his roles in The Princess Bride and Robin Hood: Men in Tights while Christopher Lloyd starred in Back to the Future and The Addams Family.
The Paramount+ series takes place between the films Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Character details about all of the new cast members are being “kept under wraps.” Jeff Fowler, director of both Sonic the Hedgehog films, will also direct the pilot episode and executive produce the spin-off series.
Knuckles is scheduled to be released on December 20, 2024. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds also streams on Paramount+ and premiered the first episode of season two today!
