Canadian woman named as second victim of fatal smash on Scots country road

Police have named a 72-year-old Canadian woman as the second victim of a crash on a road in the Scottish Highlands after she succumbed to her injuries in hospital.

Donna Englebert, from Canada, was a passenger in a black Kia Sportage which collided with a silver Kia Venga on the A832 at Dundonnell at around 11.30am on Wednesday August 31.

She was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but tragically died on Saturday September 10. She is the second person to have died following the collision, which also claimed the life of 69-year-old Kenneth Gillon.

Donna's family have asked for privacy at this time. Sergeant Calum MacAulay, from the Dingwall Road Policing Unit, said: “At this time, our thoughts remain with Donna’s loved ones as they come to terms with their terrible loss.
