Soap icon gets the axe after 8 years and admits 'it's really difficult'

Actress Annie Wallace, who joined the show as Sally in 2015, has admitted that she faced a shock when she learned the character had been written out of the show. "When I was told my character was going, I was very shocked," she said when recounting the moment to the Daily Star.
Admitting it hit hard, she continued: "I had a bad weekend. But then I got on with it. I don't want to collapse into sobs.That's not my thing." Her gripping farewell is set in what is set to be a tense series of episodes for Hollyoaks viewers, ending with an explosive motorbike crash that's tipped to become one of the soap's most unforgettable scenes.
Opening up about her feelings on leaving and watching her final scenes, Annie shared her mixed emotions: "I've watched my final scenes and it was bittersweet.
