Officers are tracking down a wanted man in Greater Manchester. Brandon Darbo is wanted for failing to appear at court, Greater Manchester Police says.

The 26-year-old is known to have links to the Chorlton, Fallowfield and Wythenshawe areas of south Manchester. An urgent appeal to find Darbo has been issued by GMP on social media this morning (July 26).

A photo of Darbo has also been released. In the image, Darbo can be seen with dark hair and facial hair. READ MORE: Manchester Airport arrest family 'appeal for calm' after two days of protest Members of the public are being urged to look out for Darbo as police try to trace him.

Anyone who sees him or has information on his whereabouts is urged to come forward as soon as possible. Information can be passed on to GMP directly by calling 0161 856 6194.

A ‘Pacific Rim’ prequel series is in the works

Pacific Rim prequel series is in the works for TV, it has been reported.According to a Variety report, Legendary Entertainment has secured a first-look developmental deal with screenwriter and director Eric Heisserer. One of the first projects being developed under Heisserer is reportedly an origin story based on the Pacific Rim franchise.Little else is known of the Pacific Rim prequel series. The franchise – comprising of two films and two seasons of Netflix‘s anime – sees humans construct and operate giant fighting robots called Jaegers after they’re attacked by several monsters (here called Kaijus) after an inter-dimensional rift opens at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.A cast has not been attached to Heisserer’s Pacific Rim prequel series.The first film in the franchise came out in 2013 and was led by Guillermo del Toro, and received rave reviews.
