Bundobust - an independent Indian street food chain - has ingeniously turned a telling off from a food giant into a festive fundraiser.
The restaurant's holiday-themed Instagram post (26 November) stirred up trouble from their reimagining of the Bundo Christmas specials as a 'Spiceland Party Buffet'.
Frozen food giant Iceland swiftly reacted by issuing a cease and desist letter, sparking some unexpected friction. The original post gained attraction on social media with over 2000 likes - however, after the letter from Iceland was received, the post had to be removed. and even came back with change' Recognising the potential to turn what the venue called 'a slap on the wrist' into a positive initiative, the Bundobust team decided to leverage the situation for a greater cause.
