BTS‘ label Big Hit Music is taking action against an internet troll who targeted the septet. The South Korean band’s label opened up about the decision in a statement shared on Weverse, and they credited the group’s fans -the ARMY – for helping to make this move possible. “We are currently following our legal response process, which monitors and collects evidence on malicious postings for 365 days and then includes them on the complaint,” they wrote, according to Rolling Stone. “Active reporting of our fans has been a big help to our malicious postings monitoring initiatives.” Although the statement didn’t get specific about what the troll was sharing, Big Hit noted that they “have found that a specific poster has been spreading the same ill-intentioned rumor in multiple platforms.” Big Hit added that they keep an eye on messages shared about the group for anything that is defamatory, damaging or what they deem “malicious activity.” In case you missed it, Big Hit Music asked the ARMY for help in protecting BTS from attacks online.
