British Gas customers only have a few more days to take full advantage of a scheme that rewards them for saving energy. The PeakSave scheme helps customers save money on their bills by reducing their electricity usage during times when demand is at its highest.

However, in order to take part in the scheme, customers must first sign up and register with the supplier. Customers only have until Sunday, December 17 to sign up before the application window closes.

Despite this, British Gas highlighted that customers can still save money in other ways after the deadline. As part of the Sunday scheme, customers will be offered half-price on electricity every Sunday between 11am and 4pm. All savings made through the scheme will appear as credit on a customer's energy bills and what's better is that British Gas said customers won't need to change their electricity-usage habits to benefit.
