BBC Strictly's Dianne Buswell reveals 'hero' dad is in hospital as she issues family update
ok.co.ukDianne Buswell has shared that her dad has been hospitalised in Australia.The Strictly Come Dancing professional, 34, shared a photo of her dad in his hospital bed to her Instagram Story, where she wrote: "Love you so much dad [heart emoji] sending all my healing wishes and energy your way." She then added a gif which read "my hero" and tagged her dad's Instagram account.
Dianne previously opened up about her dad's health after fans were left concerned when she appeared rather emotional during a recent episode of Strictly, during which she dubbed dancer partner Bobby Brazier her "rock".
Taking part in a Q&A on her YouTube channel, the dancer revealed that she had been inundated with messages asking if she was okay.To which she replied: "I thought I would be very upfront and honest with you all.
Last week I got some news about my dad’s health and I won’t go into detail, but obviously that affected me. "Being away from home and not being able to support and help your family in a time of need is quite a difficult thing so I did struggle a little bit last week in terms of that. "There is a little road ahead for my dad but I believe 100% he is going to be fine and we are all going to get through it together." She added that she would "greatly appreciate" if fans gave a "little thought or prayer" for her dad.
