BBC Breakfast has stirred up controversy among its viewers, with some accusing the broadcaster of being responsible for Ceefax's demise.
The popular morning programme, which aired on Monday, September 23, saw Jon Kay and Sally Nugent steering the show. They then took nostalgia to new heights as they revisited the groundbreaking TV text service Ceefax in a special segment.
As the pioneer of teletext services and predecessor to the BBC Red Button, Ceefax is commemorating its 50th anniversary this week.
Ian Morton-Smith, who was Ceefax's first chief editor, made an appearance during the segment. He candidly reflected on the service's heyday, stating that it reached 22 million users at one point.
