B&Q have slashed the price of Christmas trees to as little as 1p in some stores in a bid to shift stock. The DIY giant has been seen discounting Normand Firs all over the country, which are usually priced at around £35.
Shoppers have reported Christmas trees being flogged for a penny, while B&Q in Glasgow’s Great Western Retail Park is selling them for 10p.
Members of bargain forum Hot UK Deals claim that Homebase and Wickes are giving Christmas trees away for free in selected stores.
The price cuts may vary between stores in the UK and are down to the discretion of the individual store managers - so you may have to hunt around to bag a bargain.Shoppers should check ahead in their local store before they rush to grab a Christmas tree.
