Four towns in Greater Manchester have been named amongst the country's most affluent areas to live in - and this is how much it costs to buy a house there.
Hale and Altrincham in Trafford, and Cheadle Hulme and Bramhall in Stockport, were all featured on the Telegraph's annual list of Britain's 'most desirable' towns, with each place ranked by estate agents Savills for their good schools, leafy surroundings and house prices.
It's no surprise that the highest scoring towns are found in the south, but Hale creeps in at number 6 as the first area outside of London's commuter belt - and it has been compared to a fancy London district.
