Around 70 new coronavirus cases in France linked to schools reopening last week

A spike in coronavirus cases in France has been linked to the reopening of schools. The French government has been loosening its lockdown restrictions and thousands of pre-school and primary students returned to school under social distancing measures last week.

But after around 70 new cases of coronavirus were linked to school children, French education minister Jean-Michel Blanquer said all of the affected schools had been ordered to immediately close.
