Andre Onana has promised Manchester United fans that better days lie ahead after a difficult first half of the season. United crashed out of the Champions League against Bayern Munich, but they responded to that disappointment by delivering a gutsy and spirited performance to draw with Liverpool on Sunday.
Onana became the first goalkeeper in the Premier League to keep a clean sheet at Anfield this season and although his distribution was sketchy, he made eight saves and denied Liverpool a goal.
The 'keeper spoke to MUTV after the draw and spoke about the importance of improving after a poor first half of the campaign. "It feels good [to keep a clean sheet], but we're Manchester United, one of the biggest clubs in the world, and against every opponent we play, we want to win.
Today we got one point and we fought together," Onana said. ALSO READ: United player ratings as Varane and Mainoo good ALSO READ: Dan Gore's journey to United debut "We showed character and personality, but that's not enough and we have to try to win the game, which unfortunately we didn't do.
