On May 6, nearly 200 contests will take place across England on a day that is being dubbed “Super Thursday”. The elections this year will see an unusually large crop of votes taking place after many polls were postponed in 2020 due to the coronavirus crisis.

Voters across England will be choosing a mixture of councillors, local mayors, regional mayors and police commissioners, while Scotland and Wales will have the chance to choose new Parliaments.
