Many of us will probably have wondered, at some point or another, how and when we're going to die.As morbid as it sounds, it's a very common thought, and the length of time that we spend alive can hugely depend on the lifestyle choices we make day-to-day.And now, scientists have developed an AI model that takes this into account as well as some other factors to work out how long we're likely to live for - with chilling accuracy. The Daily Star reports that scientists in Denmark and the US created the 'life2vec' model study after examining an algorithm that uses a person's life to predict when they are going to die.

The doom predictor works in the style of a chatbot, with six million people already having fed it with important information such as income, profession, place of residence, injuries, and pregnancy history. The pros ended up creating an AI model that can read their responses and in turn generate predictions about a person's likelihood of meeting an early demise, as well as their income over their lifetime. The bot, which was trained on data from 2008 to 2016, can be asked questions and give answers based on how long a user believes they will last on earth. The research, which was published in the journal Nature Computational Science, showed the bot correctly predicted who had died by 2020 more than three-quarters of the time.

Researcher Sune Lehmann told the Daily Mail that the bot is not available for general use.Prof Lehmann said: "We are actively working on ways to share some of the results more openly, but this requires further research to be done in a way that can guarantee the privacy of the people in the study."The bot can also predict aspects of a person's personality, according to the networks professor
