75 firefighters have been attacked around Bonfire Night in the last three years

Over the last three years there's been 75 attacks on firefighters in Greater Manchester around Bonfire Night. And fire chiefs are warning that's 'bang out of order'.

Crews have been pelted with rocks and bricks, had fireworks launched at them and been abused while going about their job. Last year around 10 to 15 youths pelted firefighters with bricks when they attended a bonfire on Aldbourne Close in Collyhurst, and crews from Blackley faced a barrage of timber and bottles when they were called out to two fires on Greendale Drive.
