Actor Tristan “Mack” Wilds hosts “Profiled: The Black Man,” a four-part docuseries premiering Saturday (Feb. 12) on discovery+ that addresses the triumphs and stereotypes of black men. “I think it is important to discuss black men and the struggles and triumphs that we face, both good and bad,” Wilds told The Post. “Black men are often stigmatized with negative connotations, so I am extremely happy to be a part of this journey — not only as an actor but a black man as well.”The series premieres with an episode entitled “Black Men Are Dangerous,” followed in consecutive weeks by “Black Men Are Absent Fathers,” “Black Men Devalue Women” and “Black Men Don’t Cry.”“Profiled” is executive-produced by Tina Knowles-Lawson and Emmy-winning actor Billy Porter (“Pose”).“I think each episode has super-duper shining moments to me as a young black man,” said Wilds, whose TV resume includes co-starring roles in “Swagger,” “Shots Fired” and “90210.” “But I think one episode in particular, ‘Black Men Devalue Women,” will spark the most conversation and bring people together.
