Zoe Ball shares 'heartbreaking' reason for BBC Radio 2 absence and says 'I'm trying'

Zoe Ball has been flooded with supported as she told fans the 'heartbreaking' reason from her BBC Radio 2 absence. The broadcaster shared on social media that her mum had been diagnosed with cancer after she disappeared from her breakfast show on the station with Gaby Roslin stepping in Alongside pictures of the family together, Zoe said: "Heartbreakingly our beautiful Mama Julia has been diagnosed with Cancer.

As many of you know from experience, these are extremely tough times. Mum is being incredibly brave." She continued: "My brother Jamie & I are completely in awe of the brilliant Doctors, Nurses & support teams looking after Mum.
