Zara McDermott says Strictly is ‘dream come true’ and has 'wake up moment' after two days
ok.co.ukSet to star on the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, Zara McDermott has revealed that she has already began rehearsals and can't wait to get stuck in even more.
The reality star and presenter, 26, caught up with OK! on the red carpet at the National Television Awards, where she looked sensational in a black and sequinned silver number.
Attending the bash after going through her first two days of training for Strictly, the former Love Island star admitted that they have made her realise how tough it may be.
She explained: " Rehearsals are going amazing, we’ve only just done the first two days but they’ve been incredible, the best two days ever. "We’ve been getting a little taster of what is to come, I’m starting to see the technique that is required and thinking ‘oh god this will be hard'." When probed if she was feeling any nerves for the show, which will air weekly and see her partnered with a professional dancer, Zara appeared confident. "I’m not scared, I’m just grateful for the opportunity," she said.
