This time last year, Rico Lewis had just four under-18 appearances to his name for Manchester City and had only just signed his first scholarship deal.
Fast-forward 12 months, and he has won two academy titles, made his Premier League debut, and started at the Camp Nou against Barcelona.
It's been a remarkable rise for a fearless full-back who is yet to turn 18, and looks like being City's preferred cover option at right-back for their title defence and search for European glory.
At Barcelona this week, Lewis was thrown into the deep end against some experienced and world-class wide players. Within a minute, he clattered into Jordi Alba, and at one stage found himself fending off a challenge from both Frenkie de Jong and Sergio Busquets.
