Weeping dog 'abandoned' outside supermarket in rain for over two hours

A weeping dog was abandoned outside of an Asda supermarket in the pouring rain for over two hours. Christine Jones went into the store at approximately 3pm on December 13 when she spotted the pooch tied up in the rain outside of the shop.

Christine said that the dog was in a clear state of "distress" outside of the supermarket in Wirral and kept barking so she went over to pat the creature and reassured it that their owner would not be much longer.

Liverpool Echo reports that while out shopping, Christine continued to hear the dog's 'anxious' barks echoing throughout the store which began to worry her.
