BBC's new crime thriller The Jetty, starring Jenna Coleman - who is expecting her first child - as Detective Ember Manning, premiered on Monday night.

Set in a Lancashire town, the series follows Ember as she unravels a web of secrets and lies.The plot thickens when a fire destroys a boathouse, leading Ember to investigate its connection to a podcast journalist probing a cold missing person case, and an illicit affair involving a man in his twenties and two underage girls.

As Ember inches closer to the truth, her world is turned upside down, forcing her to question everything she thought she knew.

However, it seems that the show's accents left some BBC viewers scratching their heads, with many struggling to understand what was being said.
