Sir Elton Hercules John CH CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is an English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. He has worked with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967; they have collaborated on more than 30 albums. John has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the world's best-selling music artists. He has more than fifty Top 40 hits, as well as seven consecutive number-one albums in the United States, 58 Billboard Top 40 singles, 27 Top 10 singles, four of which peaked at number two and nine of which reached number one. His tribute single "Candle in the Wind 1997", rewritten in dedication to Diana, Princess of Wales, sold over 33 million copies worldwide and is the best-selling single in the history of the UK and US singles charts. He has also produced records and occasionally acted in films. John owned Watford F.C. from 1976 to 1987 and from 1997 to 2002, and is an honorary life president of the club.

Those attending Elton John's second and final gig at Glasgow's OVO Hydro have been given a warning as he makes his last debut on stage in Scotland as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.Gig-goers attending the musical extravaganza on Sunday tonight have been warned to head to the venue early and have been advised that his show will kick off slightly earlier than last night's performance with a new start time of 7.15pm.Tonight is the the Tiny Dancer singer's final show in Scotland, and organisers sent out an alert to people to ensure fans wouldn't miss any of the action from the 76-year-old, reports in The Sun indicate.A spokesperson for the OVO Hydro said: "Elton John is going on slightly earlier tonight than his show last night, and will be heading on at 7.15pm prompt."During his Aberdeen show, Elton blasted security guards at one of his last-ever Scottish gigs because they tried to stop fans dancing and he lost his cool with crews as he called them out as "morons" for trying to hold the crowds back.He launched into a foul-mouthed rant from behind his piano aimed directly at the security and said: “Remove those barriers immediately and let the people dance.

It’s not a f*****g tea party. Morons.”Meanwhile, we reported ahead of his Saturday show in Glasgow last night that the 70s singing icon purchased over half a grand worth of grub for his crew members at a local family burger restaurant in the East end of the city.Elton paid a visit to family-run smokehouse venue Dennistoun Bar-B-Que on Saturday in the East end of the city, as staff shared a snippet of his visit by sharing his hefty food order which according to their menu totalled around over £600.
