Two men in hospital as police descend on Manchester street after fight 'involving knife'

Police and paramedics swarmed Buckhurst Road in Levenshulme at around 6.30pm on Sunday (April 4). Officers say a woman and two men - one armed with a knife - had been involved in an altercation.

A man and one woman were arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault and another man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing police.

Two men were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. A police cordon spanning part of Buckhurst Road and Osborne Road was in place until late last night.
