Suspected burglars smash car into police vehicles after chase

The pursuit started after officers were called to a report of a burglary on Tong Road, Little Lever, just after 10.30pm last night (Sunday).
They spotted a vehicle acting suspiciously in the area then short chase took place. This took them to the junction with Hill Top, where the vehicle smashed into a police car and van.
Four men then fled the scene. Two men - aged 21 and 26 - have since been arrested and remain in custody for questioning. Two officers were left with minor injuries after the crash.
