Travel company TUI has issued a statement on new face mask rules before everyone begins booking their flights for the Easter holidays.

It has announced that face masks will no longer be required for TUI flights to and from England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

It means that travellers going on holiday via a TUI flight will no longer have to wear a face mask on the plane. Despite this, the company has also warned that a mask may still be required when leaving the aircraft and when inside the airport at the arrival destination due to countries having different Covid restrictions and laws.

The company also stated that the new rules will only be enforced in line with the UK government and EU Charter guidance with travellers still encouraged to wear a mask where possible.
