Tree planted in Balloch to commemorate work of healthcare staff during pandemic

A special tree to commemorate the hard work of health staff during the pandemic has been planted in Balloch.It was donated anonymously and planted in the grounds of Lomond Parish Church.NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde director Melanie McColgan attended on the day along with members of the community.She said: “The past 18 months have been some of the most challenging for our NHS staff.]“The support of the general public throughout has been greatly appreciated and it is important to remember that our staff continue to deal with challenges presented by the pandemic on a daily basis.“Recognition of this and dedication of the spruce tree means so much to our team and reinforces how highly valued they are by the community.”
