A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead in a property in Messingham. Humberside Police raced to the house in North Lincolnshire at around 12.40am on Sunday, November 6, after receiving a report of concern for a person's safety.

Clair Armstrong, a 50-year-old beautician and mum, was found dead in the house. A 54-year-old man is now in custody after he was arrested on suspicion of murder, the Mirror reports.

Officers have been confirmed that Clair's family have been notified of her death and are being given support from specialist officers.

The mother and talented skydiver, who owned Oliver's beauty salon and regularly took part in skydive jumps at her local centre, was well known and highly thought of by locals in North Lincolnshire village.One of her neighbours said: "Clair was friendly and always spoke to me when we were out walking the dogs.
