Thousands of young people in North Lanarkshire enjoy free bus travel since initiative's launch

Almost 15,000 young people in North Lanarkshire have benefited from free bus travel since the introduction of the initiative in January for those aged up to 22 years old.Figures reveal that more than 300,000 young people across Scotland, including 14,664 in the local authority area, have enjoyed over eight million fare free bus journeys since free bus travel for young people was introduced earlier this year.The matter was raised by the Scottish Greens at First Minister’s Questions in the Scottish Parliament last week.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
