Thousands of pro-Palestine protestors gathered in Glasgow today to call for an urgent ceasefire in Gaza.Streets in the city centre were flooded by people attending the demonstration organised by the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign (SPSC).

Images show the city packed with campaigners holding pickets and flags of Palestine, Glasgow Live reports.It comes as protests have been taking place across the country over the Israel-Hamas war.

Counter-protestors clashed with officers ahead of a pro-Palestine demonstration on Armistice Day in London.Scuffles broke out as police attempted to stop a crowd of people carrying St George's flags marching along Embankment towards Whitehall, where the Cenotaph is located, shortly after 10am on Saturday.Scotland's First Minister, Humza Yousaf, called on Home Secretary Suella Braverman to resign following the clashes.He posted on X: "The far-right has been emboldened by the Home Secretary.

She has spent her week fanning the flames of division. They are now attacking the Police on Armistice Day. The Home Secretary's position is untenable.
