A quirky house on sale in Ramsbottom has sparked controversy online — with its pint-sized proportions causing a stir. The one-bedroom property close to the town centre also features a kitchen-living space and an en-suite bathroom.

The Spring Street home is listed for £70,000. READ MORE: Couple's revenge on creepy delivery driver who started sending pregnant woman 'flirty' texts While this might seem typical, the internal layout has social media users talking.

Its half-sized staircase is an eye-catching detail, as is the size of the kitchen. Some users on Twitter have blasted the layout of the property, while others say the house has real potential. “Everyone look at this terrible tiny house attempt,” a user named Hannah, tweeting, said. “[It has] only two rooms and they’re both the worst use of space I’ve ever seen.” Others said the space made them feel ‘queasy’ and that it had been built ‘with little thought’.

However, other accounts defended the property, saying the right buyer could make it into a good home. “Yes, it is a pity, a tiny space but a decent int designer or architect could make much better use,” Gary Cummins tweeted.
