Not least for the thousands of Bluedot ticket holders. Those intending to spend the day there on Sunday were asked to stay away from the site at Jodrell Bank when the event turned into a 'mud bath' following hours of non-stop rain.

But the weekend ticketholders were quick to praise festival bosses for their handling of the situation. And they enjoyed a triumphant performance from the incomparable Grace Jones last night.
