A 21-year-old student with an 'almost impossible' cancer diagnosis has died after raising £165,000 for her final flight back home to Peru.

Alexandra Angeles Caycho, a Fine Art and Design graduate from Lancaster University, thought she was suffering from a rugby injury before she was diagnosed with stage three pancreatic cancer.

Doctors told her this summer she had just 'days to weeks left to live'. She was finally granted her 'last wish' earlier this month, arriving safely in Peru after several flights with costly medical assistance to spend her final days with her family.

Her boyfriend shared the sad news on Saturday (September 14) that she has now passed away.
