Strictly Come Dancing contestant Angela Scanlon has said she ‘loved every second’ of her first dance following the first live show on Saturday night.

The presenter, 39, joined 14 other celebrities who made their debuts on the dance floor with their professional partners on the BBC show.

Angela bagged a score of 23, but admitted she was ‘so nervous’ ahead of her tango that she nearly forgot how to speak. Yet she overcame her nerves and ended up loving every moment.

On Sunday, the Irish TV star shared a series of photos on Instagram of her and her dance partner Carlos Gu performing on the night as well as her posing in a fuchsia pink gown.

Adam Thomas has candidly opened up about being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis ahead of his Strictly Come Dancing stint. The ex-Emmerdale actor, 35, is set to take to the dance floor on this year's series of the BBC One show alongside the likes of Bobby Brazier, Angela Scanlon, Ellie Leach and Les Dennis. Dad-of-two Adam's hectic schedule with dance training and filming the new series of Waterloo Road has proven difficult to manage, along with his rheumatoid arthritis, which he was diagnosed with earlier this year.
