Strictly's Adam Thomas dealt huge blow ahead of first live show

Adam Thomas has seen his odds of winning Strictly Come Dancing dramatically plummet, just as viewers enjoy the first live show of the 2023 series.The ex-Emmerdale actor, 35, took to the iconic Strictly dance floor on Saturday night alongside professional dance partner Luba Mushtuk for the first time, but it looks like he really needs to impress viewers at home if he wants to bag the Glitterball trophy.

In odds provided by William Hill to the Express, Adam and Luba's odds of winning the show have dropped, along with Zara McDermott, whose chances of being crowned the winner have also been slashed.

Cyclist and former swimmer Jody Cundy is the least favourite to win with odds of 50/1, while EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier is currently the favourite to win the Glitterball.

William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, told the publication: “Ahead of tonight's much-anticipated Strictly opener, we’ve seen a lot of backing for Bobby Brazier to win this year’s Glitterball Trophy, with the Eastenders actor not only our 11/4 favourite but also attracting a whopping percent of all bets placed in the outright winner market. “Annabel Croft has been another popular selection since last Saturday’s launch show, and we’ve been forced to narrow our price for the former British tennis star to serve up a surprise from 18/1 to 12/1." He also noted how comedian Eddie Kadi's odds have increased following last week's launch show, going from 20/1 to 9/1. “Of the more likely winners, Layton Williams has likewise been popular with customers and has shortened from 5/1 to 4/1 at the start of the week, placing him third in the outright winner market behind Brazier and Angela Scanlon (7/2)," he added.
