The 'Strictly Come Dancing' universe is buzzing with speculation, as former star Kevin Clifton is currently the bookies' favourite to replace judge Craig Revel Horwood if he decides to leave the popular BBC show. While nothing is confirmed yet, betting experts are considering who might step into Craig's role after the long-standing judge hinted at retiring his scoring paddles as he approaches 60.A recent poll by Betway places Clifton in the lead with odds of 7/4, potentially joining the likes of Shirley Ballas, Anton du Beke, and Motsi Mabuse.Louis Spense is hot on his heels with odds at 3/1, while Diversity's Ashley Banjo spins into third place with a 5/1 chance.
Neil Jones, Cynthia Erivo, and AJ Pritchard have also been mentioned in the betting predictions, according to Express. Betway's Chad Yeomans shared his thoughts: "Craig Revel Horwood recently admitted that his dancing days are over but vowed he won't be retiring anytime soon."However, the Strictly judge, who has been on the show since day one, will turn 60 next January, and if reaching that milestone causes a change of heart, we make former Strictly star Kevin Clifton the favourite to replace him!"The transition from the dance floor to the judging panel isn't unheard of; Anton du Beke himself has swapped routines for reviews, taking a seat alongside Craig, Shirley, and Motsi for the last three series.Craig, who has been a Strictly Come Dancing judge since 2004, expressed his desire to retire in a 2023 interview.
He revealed that he wants to enjoy life when he turns 60.Craig said: "I'm working hard while I can, especially as I love what I do.
