Adam Thomas was reportedly 'banned' from entering the Strictly studios to rehearse after he was struck down with winter flu.

Strictly Come Dancing bosses are said to be terrified that the illness will spread amongst its cast and crew, which could throw the show into jeopardy.

Former Emmerdale star Adam, 35, took to Instagram on Tuesday evening to share an update with his one million followers and sadly said he's currently sick.

Alongside a snap of him lying in bed with his head in his hands, Adam penned: "Of all weeks to be poorly!" The following morning, Adam said he was using "lots of berocca and coffee" to help him feel better ahead of a day of dance rehearsals with his Strictly partner Luba Mushtuk.
