Strathaven trots into Christmas as popular Reindeer Day returns to town

Strathaven is looking forward to celebrating one of the biggest events on its festive calendar when the annual Reindeer Day celebration comes to town.Warmly welcomed back after a three year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic thousands of people are expected to line the streets to welcome Santa, pulled by his team of guest reindeer which are visiting from the Cairngorm Reindeer Company.This year they will touch down at 11.30am on Sunday, December 11, with children invited to visit Santa’s Grotto in the Climate Action Strathaven premises on Green Street from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
