Joe Otterson TV Reporter “Spider-Noir” has cast Karen Rodriguez in a series regular role, Variety has learned exclusively. The series, which is the first live-action project to feature the character Spider-Man Noir, was picked up to series in May.
Rodriguez will appear alongside series lead Nicolas Cage as well as series regulars actor Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, and Jack Huston.
Per the official logline, the show “tells the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.” Rodriguez previously appeared in the Amazon series “Swarm.” She is also known for her roles in shows like “Acapulco” and “Shining Girls” at Apple TV+, “Power Book IV: Force” at Starz, and “The Big Leap” at Fox.
She will next be seen in the Starz drama series “The Hunting Wives.” She is repped by Lasher Group, Gray Talent Group, and Del Shaw Moonves.
