The Daily Record is over the moon to support Shelter Scotland's #NoHomeKit campaign over the next weeks as housing and homelessness continues to present itself as a huge problem in the United Kingdom.

Football fans across Scotland will become aware of a seismic change over this week's fixture, with no clubs in the SPFL - the top four divisions of Scottish football - donning a home kit as part of Shelter Scotland's #NoHomeKit campaign.

Shelter, a charity for homeless people, note that five households become homeless in Scotland every 90 minutes - meaning that in the space of just one football match, five households won't have anywhere to call home as the festive period gets underway. With the cost of living crisis, many are at odds with further adversity due to the harsh weather that will impact families up and down the nation.

As a result, Shelter's #NoHomeKit is a way at showing football fans the unfortunate circumstances that some families will have to endure over the winter weeks and beyond - by encouraging teams and fans to wear away and third kits to raise awareness for homelessness, alongside donating to the charity itself.
