Moses Makuza, from Newton Heath, filmed a video to try and help his father Lee Taylor, 40, return from the east African country, where he had been working with a charity.
A GoFundMe page has also been set up by Moses’s mother Sophie Makuza. Ms Makuza, 32, said: "Lee has been out there since August working with a charity called Smart Toto that provides books to children.
