Rod, 77, is joined by the likes of Paolo Nutini, Gerry Cinnamon, Wet Leg, Craig Logan and Rhianne Downey in being nominated for an accolade.
The awards celebrate the best of home-grown Scottish talent and the Do Ya Think I'm Sexy star is up for the Specsavers Outstanding Achievement in Music Award.The Hoops-daft singer, who recently enjoyed a trip to Glasgow visiting the Celtic FC training grounds, paid an emotional tribute to his late Scottish father. “In all my days I never ever dreamt I’d be receiving an award from the land of my Father.
