Shavez Hart Dead - Olympic Sprinter Dies at Age 29

Shavez Hart has tragically died. The former Texas A&M star and Olympic sprinter was shot and killed while allegedly trying to break up a fight outside of a nightclub in the Bahamas on Saturday (September 3), via TMZ.

He was only 29 years old, and died just days before his 30th birthday. Click inside to read more… The Royal Bahamas Police told the outlet that the incident happened in Mount Hope, North Abaco, about 120 miles north of Nassau, at around 2 a.m.

A group of men reportedly got into a physical altercation in the parking lot when one, who left and returned with a gun, opened fire, hitting the Olympian in the chest.

He was transported to the Marsh Harbour Clinic where he was pronounced dead. A suspect has been arrested, and the investigation is still ongoing. “The Olympic family is saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Shavez Hart, a proud native of Abaco.
